Chili & Soup Cookoff
Come show off your culinary skills and you could take home the prize for the best chili or soup of Mississippi County! Details of the contest are located on the Chili and Soup Cookoff Registration Form. Chili and soup will be available to the public by purchasing an armband which will allow you to eat as much as you would like and try as many soups and chilis as you want from 11 am to 2 pm. You will also receive one people's choice vote for each armband purchased. People's choice voting will conclude at 1:30 pm and awards will be presented at 2:00.

1st Annual Fall in Love with Charleston 5k Race
Be part of the race! Join us at 10 am behind the Post Office in Charleston for the 1st Annual Fall in Love with Charleston 5k Race! Online Registration is available, or you can download a paper form and mail it in. All registrations must be made online or postmarked by October 22. Those registering in advance will receive a t-shirt. Raceday registrations are allowed, but a t-shirt is not guaranteed if you wait and register on raceday.
Young Entrepreneur's Market
Youth can be a business owner for a day! Our Young Entrepreneurs Market gives youth business owners and youth who want to try business for a day the opportunity to market their goods to the public. For only $5, any youth ages 5-18 is welcome to have a booth of their own. They can sell anything from bookmarks to t-shirts to lemonade. Let's see those great ideas come to life, kids! You can find out more information from our printable flyer, and this handy document, "Tips for Young Entrepreneurs." CHARM believes in Charleston's youth! Register your kids to participate today!
