Who we are

CHARM is a community organization that was formed by a group of dedicated individuals with the common goal of enhancing the lives of those living in and visiting Charleston, MO. Initially, a group of concerned citizens started the Charleston Economic Development Group in 2020. Then in 2021, the group was granted membership into the Missouri Main Street Connection. Through the guidance of this organization a formal board was formed, and the process that followed allowed us to expand our vision. At the beginning of 2022, we officially became CHARM (Charleston Revitalization Movement). Since our founding, CHARM has worked to build community pride, foster a sense of positivity, encourage entrepreneurship, and provide recreational activities for all citizens enjoyment! Volunteerism and cooperation is central to each success. Simply stated, our goal is to work with businesses, churches, community members, city government, and civic organizations to make Charleston, MO, a better place to live and work.
